Following our trip to NEAF last month I am proud to announce that SCS Astro have become UK dealers for M42 Optic, manufacturers of the i-Nova CCD camera.
M42 Optic are based in France and have developed an exciting and innovative range of cameras for Solar, Lunar, Planetary, Deepsky and Autoguiding.
There are currently six cameras available, of which we are showcasing four, two monochrome and two colour. Other cameras will be available later this year.
There are a couple of features unique to the i-Nova range:
Firstly you can buy an add-on Cooler Unit. This is a Peltier cooler which will reduce the temperature of the camera to 20 degrees below ambient.
Secondly the cameras are supplied with an image processing function called "Visual Enhancement" as part of the PLxCapture software.
Visual Enhancement allows you to pre-process and stack images in real time. Most of the deepsky objects in the Messier catalog can be seen with this feature.
The i-Nova CCD cameras are very affordable, easy to use and suitable for imaging just about any stellar object you could wish.
